Nos pieds d'argile x Tissage Moutet
To coincide with the Nos pieds d'argile exhibition at Saint Pierre church in Firminy, three designs were created in collaboration with Tissage Moutet, a company specialising in jacquard: two tea towels and a bag.
The first design was inspired by the sculpture ‘Se laisser affecter la sculpture’, which is also the visual for the exhibition. The second design is an alphabet in the font created for this project, in the tradition of alphabet books.
The bag combines the two designs.
Tissage Moutet was founded in 1874 in Orthez and has been awarded the ‘Entreprise du Patrimoine Farnçais’ label. It specialises in jacquard, a complex weaving process that gave its name to the loom. The result is a textured surface. Tissage Moutet is associated with the heritage of Basque weaving.
