Chuchotement, Triennale, Milan

2013

Chuchotement (Whispering) is a project made for the exhibition Kama: Sesso e Design at the Triennale which is a space offering a scenario which visitors discover step by step. First you enter within the heart of three enormous loud speakers which in fact disguise a bookcase within. It soon becomes obvious that it’s a bookcase with erotic books and from each book hangs a yellow thread which is like a bookmark, allowing us to find the most sensual passages of each book.

Then the yellow carpet guides us towards another sort of loudspeaker which is a lectern with an open book and a stool indicating that this is a reading area.

The scenario becomes very clear, the bookcase is for us to choose a book which should be read out loud (visitors discover this by walking around the loud speaker) to a lady who is lying on the bed.

A scenario which is about a game between two people, surely assumptions just like the drawings on the wall give way to our imagination to attain 8th heaven.

A project which questions the psychological part in a love relationship, proposing a complicity allowing to reactivate desire in numerous ways thanks to the wide scope of literature.
