Le temps de la secousse - Villa Savoye - Poissy
An exhibition in a modern icon
from 22 September 2026 to 11 January 2027
Trilogies of the upheaval.
Understanding the world and, above all, doing something with that understanding.
The world seems to be structured and expressed in trilogies.
The trilogy, a presentation in three parts, marks the beginning of diversity but also a development that allows us to understand the whole with just a few juxtaposed elements. We can thus discern the components, as well as their interaction, quite easily. It is a certain way of coming to terms with complexity. It is the smallest number necessary to create a pattern, a form, a structure.
Trilogies to set things in motion.
For a thought to become an idea, Tim Ingold tells us, it must unsettle and disrupt, like a gust of wind over a pile of dead leaves.
It comes as a surprise; it is wild…
What matters is not whether this idea is new or whether it is an innovative combination of fragments of older ideas.
What matters is the jolt it delivers.
The jolt unsettles; it involves a momentary letting go, a loss of control.
Each jolt reveals a unique pattern.
In this exhibition, I draw upon Arne Næss, Jean-Paul Deléage, Karl Popper, Baptiste Morizot… to present trilogies…
